| - I have been going to Minna at The Third Floor since it opened up. A few weeks ago I finally bit the bullet and asked Minna to dye my hair - first time ever. The result solidified my love for Minna even more. She held held my hand (metaphorically) as we went though all the options. She remembered that I'm not a fan of chemical treatments, and thoughtfully pulled out the appropriate products for me to choose from. She guided me through the whole process, and the result is an almost embarrassingly positive response from my friends, work colleagues, and women on the street who ask me where I get my hair done (I should really start carrying Minna's business cards with me).
Over the years Minna has also been my go-to person for professional makeup application. Depending on the event, she knows how to make me look (and feel) like a rock star - from demure bridal party look to black tie bash.
The space itself is so open and airy, whether it is -40 or +40 outside it always feels comfortable, and spotlessly clean at all times. You will have to climb some stairs (it's not called The Third Floor for nothing) but it is worth the climb. There is no direct door, you will have to go through the salon located downstairs (it's called Harlots) - don't feel shy, just walk in, nod to the receptionist, and head for the door in the back on the left hand side. They're used to it.
