  • Terrible experience yesterday Dec 27. Arrived at Bettis' at about 1:25 pm. (Know this because paid to park for 90 min at meter at 1:20). We had a group of six including 74 year old disabled mother and my brother's family visiting from Florida. Not crowded at all as it was mid-afternoon on a Tuesday. There was only one group in front of us , yet we waited over fifteen minutes to be seated and this despite the fact there were empty tables available on the riverview side. Hostess claimed they didnt have enough servers in that section, so we had to wait for someone to leave on the streetside. After viewing a quick table top wet towel smear, we were finally seated at that table. Noticed that the carpeted floors were disgusting throughout the room...food all over them. After almost 10 min the waitress breezed by us and said "i'll be right with you". Never saw her again. After another 10 minutes a couple from next table advised, "you seem like nice people...take our advice and get out while you can." They said that they had long wait on a table, long wait to place order, long wait to get food, no service after food arrived, and yes, even a long wait to get their check. They had been there well over an hour and a half. We thanked them and decided to leave. Another table saw us leaving and they too left. As we were leaving, a young man appeared and asked what he could offer us to stay. He began providing rationalizations as to why the service was so poor and actually followed me all the way to the door asking if we wanted a different table. We asked if we could get better service, to which he had no response. He then actually offered us coupons for our next visit. Really? We came in for a meal, not charity. Won't be visiting again. We had an excellent customer service experience across the street at Burgatory. BTW, thanks to the Bettis team, i also had to leave that meal to go back out to the car to feed the parking meter.
