  • Summer 2016 is trending frozen desserts left right and centre! My sister was talking about Thai ice cream rolls you can find downtown Toronto. Conveniently for me insauga.com lead me to a dessert place in Mississauga that served the very product! It is inside Rockwood Mall - look for the green painted walls near the food court. Be overwhelmed by their chalkboard menu as they have many fresh fruits and dessert options to choose from. They were sold out on the red bean & taro and avocado & coconut ice cream rolls. We decided to go with the strawberry & lychee. You can watch your Thai ice cream rolls being made! They chop and mix the real fruits into the ice cream. Spread the ice cream mixture out onto this cold flat sheet. Then the rolling starts! Don't forget your toppings at the end. We topped our rolls with strawberry popping pearls aka bursting boba. The Thai ice cream rolls were not super soft to scoop with a spoon. Makes you wonder how much strength was used to roll the ice cream. First Impression: ice cream heaven! It was definitely wow wow yum yum in my tum tum
