| - Where to start? Walked in. Realized that this place was somewhere between TGI-Fridays and cheap stir fry. Quite a low point to start at. Went to sit at the table only to realize that all of the lights on our side of the restaurant were annoyingly blinking, such that one might be concerned about having a seizure. Next, we were asked about drinks and appetizers. Drinks took very long and we didn't really know what to do from there because we did not yet have bowls. When we realized that a redonkulous $14 + dollars would get us a teeny bowl in which we were told to fill with an assortment of raw meats and veggies. The look of raw meat prior to a meal was quite unappetizing. I had to strategically place veggies into my bowl because it was so tiny after I filled it with a couple noodles. We then waited in line for our meager meal to be cooked on a grill. Oh and by the way, you can't move more than 5 inches without an employee asking if you need help. I mean its a glorified buffet, not brain surgery... Anyways, meal was cooked on the grill between several cooks. This is the part that concerns me regarding food borne illness. While one meal was placed on the grill, the cook would sauté that meal and then move onto the next, which also had raw meat in it. Just something about seeing the cooks touch raw meat then touch my cooked food, did not seem OK. Regardless, because I love food, I ate my meal anyway, albeit while listening to horrid top 40 dance/pop music blaring. Not a whole lot of food if you get just one bowl. Did I mention it was over $14? I had a glass of wine and a bowl of food.... $23. REALLY?
Overall WAYYYY over priced. But we did get a free beer coozie as we left. Perhaps my expectations were too high. This place will probably do alright for the typical buffet goers who gorge themselves. But if you actually enjoy the TASTE of food and not the feeling of being engorged, I would roll to another place in South Side that serves stir fry for half the price.
