This was my first time staying at this hotel, and also staying in the Fremont district of Las Vegas. The biggest thing I will say is to drop your expectations..
Decor: Hotels in the Fremont district are mostly old gems trying to keep up with the newer style of hotels. I commend them greatly for trying, seeing how the "Fremont experience " is very different from your normal visit. The Plaza hotel is really hurting. The rooms are ok at best, with no fridge, microwave, or coffee maker. Those are in the suites. So pay extra for it..
Casino: So the floor is small and not exciting. The nice part is they teach new players how to play craps. The slots are meh.. it was rough.
Food: The hotel has a subway, McDonald's, and some other overly priced breakfast places. I wouldn't pay 25 bucks for breakfast there so I have no comment.
Rooms: We stayed for a concert that weekend. The walls are thin, so I heard my young neighbors drinking then breaking the bed.
Overall: I will pay the extra money to go to a different hotel. I think it may be time these hotels get a huge remodel... but I dont think the big wigs will pay for it. Shame..
