  • Dr. Ghodsi from Lasting Smiles Dental Care is a joke! .... He slick, polished, and full of BS! My wife and I went there to inquire about their $695 dental implants. The 1st consultation was supposed to be free, but we quickly found out that without a CT Scan ($125.00) the terrible Dr could tell us nothing. After agreeing to the charge, a scan was taken and we talked about implants, we quickly learned that it would cost $12,000 - $25,000 depending on options. We finally decided on materials and such ("the finest materials available"... "weren't even available a year ago") and inquired about pricing. I wanted to know what the grand total was. Big Mistake! First, we had to watch YouTube videos of other people's perfect teeth (Dr. Ghodsi insisted ... looking at his teeth, he obviously doest practice what he preaches). Then, In perfect used car sales talk, Dr. Ghodsi looked me in the eye and said $17,000. Then he and his assistant started talking back and forth - back and forth, like were not even there - about weather he should give us all the add-ons and more options (apparently "the finest materials available" aren't "the best materials"). Several times I heard "should I tell him", "should I tell him"... with a nice smile and as much BS as he could muster up, the price then jumped to $17,600, and 2 min latter with more smiles and BS it jumped to $18,500, and he was still talking about more add-ons. At this point, we were done! We wanted to get a copy of the scan, pay the $125 (for our free consultation) and leave. Not so easy! The person that makes the copies had gone home for the night. The next day, we were told that if we want a copy of our medical scan that it would cost an additional $125.00. Apparently the original $125.00 (for the free consolation) was the discounted price, and if we wanted a copy of the scan, then we would have to pay full price (this was not said last night). It took 2 days of argument and threats to get a copy of the scan, and when we took the scan to a new dentist, the file(s) could not be open and a new scan had to be done. In our opinion, Dr. Ghodsi is an embarrassment to the medical community. If you ask him a direct question, expect a warm smile with crooked teeth, a used car salesman attitude, and lots of BS.
