New chocolate and ice cream shop that just opened up in Terrebonne. On the opening weekend I don't think I've ever seen longer lines for ice cream (people love sweets here and ice cream does very well in summer). Timed perfectly for the start of spring and the start of the warm weather I don't think they could plan the grand opening any better.
So here's the scoop(literally and figuratively). Their specialty is dipped ice cream (enrobe en francais). Sizes go from baby, mini, small medium and large. A baby which is ridiculously small goes for $1.95 plus tax for normal and $2.75 dipped. Then a mini goes for $2.45 and dipped $3.50 all the way up to a large which is $4.95 and $6.60 dipped. I think the large is ridiculously large so I have been quite content having a mini dipped. The selection of dips is so large. I believe more than 10 types. From classic dark chocolate, salted caramel, white chocolate, cookies and cream to name just a few. Really something for everyone and then some! The chocolate once dipped is a very thick smooth flavour. Very nice! And if you like chocolate you will love it!
The place is brand new and has indoor seating and outdoor seating. Parking is plentiful and pretty easy to get in and out of!
Where I feel a bit sad is that there are a handful of other small ice cream shops in Terrebonne. My prediction is Chocolat Favorit will shut a bunch of these places down it's that good. Those people with other ice cream shops will not be able to compete with this place. I've been here twice in a week now and both times the lineups have been huge in the evening!
Come check it out! Way better and different than Dairy Queen.
