Keeping with our desire to try the great restaurants off the strip, we headed to Makers and Finders for Saturday brunch. We got lucky and the wait was only a few minutes for three of us. We ordered two of the specialty lattes that they're known for. The Coconut Tumeric Latte was the favorite while the Lavender Latte was just slightly too sweet for me. We tried the empanada sampler and it was great but the real winner was the La Paisa Arepa. The meat was incredibly tender and the arepa itself was one of the best I've ever had. It was served with black beans and the most delicious and sweet plantains. Overall, the only disappointment is that we were only able to eat here once on our trip.
