Oh my god. A carnivore's heaven and true southern BBQ jackpot not to be missed. It's places like this that make me certain I can never become a vegetarian. And I have no regrets.
Highlights:
Smoked wings (dry with sauces on the side) - they're sized like nuggets but are so tender and packed with flavors. Possibly one of the best tasting wings I've ever had - would come back just for these apps.
Pig Out platter - the bigger version of the combo platter that gives you 6oz each of 4 different proteins plus 2 sides. We had the mixed brisket (MUST GET), sausages (good but paled in comparison), ribs (delicious), and substituted our 4th protein with the burnt tips (YUM). Our favorites were definitely the briskets, which were incredibly flavored and so juicy and tender. I recommend getting the fatty ones (more marbling and tender). The baked beans were surprisingly tasty as well. Would've loved some sort of carbs to soak up all the sauces.
It doesn't look much, but the pig out platter is pure meat and enough to share among 3-4. Needless to say, we had more than half of it boxed to go.
Service was prompt and representative of southern hospitality. All in all a shack-less but amazing BBQ joint without pretense - a must stop.
Tip: Work out before coming if you're looking to make gains. It wasn't until near the end of the meal did I realize I had not consumed a single piece of greens throughout the meal. And I'm perfectly fine with that.
