| - These days, if a place isn't kid-friendly, I don't like it. And West Side Market, at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, is super kid-friendly. Unlike most places I take my toddler, people actually jumped to help us rather than run the other way. I saw several other parents with kids in strollers, always a good sign.
My son was requesting "Muffin!" so we stopped at Michelle's Bakery for a blueberry muffin. It was one tasty baked good, with blueberries that still resembled blueberries, even. Our mission was to find Judy's Oasis hoomus. We ended up with the roasted garlic variety, and I would not disagree that it is the best in Cleveland (though we haven't been in Cleveland very long). The fresh baked pita was also a pleasant surprise.
Our next trip to West Side Market will be a full-blown grocery shopping mission, as I was impressed by the selection and quality of food, especially the meat. I also need to get my hands on some pierogi. Gyros. Falafel, too.
