  • We have seen a couple different pediatricians for our young teen since moving to Las Vegas almost two years ago. In less than a year, we transferred care from the first doctor to the next because we weren't pleased. The second doctor (ahem, Dr. Misch) was much worse than the first. I shortly became pregnant with our second child and was on the hunt for a good pediatrician. I read many different reviews online and here on Yelp. When I gave birth to our second child at Centennial Hills Hospital, Dr. Mendoza happened to be the pediatrician on call. He saw our newborn son and was the one who discharged him. After our first encounter with Dr. Mendoza, we were so pleased with his warm, friendly personality. He was also very professional, took his time in checking our baby and in answering all our questions and addressing our concerns. I immediately went on Yelp and saw mixed reviews- some really good; some bad. Despite seeing a few bad reviews, I was sure that we would be happy with Dr. Mendoza just as we were happy with how he took care of our baby at the hospital. My husband and I, being both health care professionals, are very critical when it comes to who we see, especially when it comes to our children. I am so glad I went with my first impression and trusted my mommy's instinct with Dr. Mendoza! He is so great with our teenager and our infant. He's very hands on with them and knows exactly how to interact with them to make them feel very comfortable. Our teenager and now 9-month-old son love him very much! He's very gentle, plays with them, and makes them laugh. Our kids love going to Dr. Mendoza. Sometimes, there is a wait, but we don't mind. Once Dr. Mendoza walks in the exam room, he spends as much time as he can to make sure your kids and you, as parents, are well informed with everything. We are so happy to have found Dr. Mendoza! He is the best pediatrician we've had so far!
