  • On plenty of occasions we have looked at dogs here but have never actually purchased one because we knew it wouldn't please the dogs we already own. However, we never had any problems with staff helping us with any questions we had about the dogs we were looking at which at one point even was a dachshund. After visting now, the store hasn't changed that much at all. They have pretty much all of the basic pets that you would need such as dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and so forth. They keep most of their dogs behind enclosed areas so you will have one of the workers to take him or her out so you can get a better idea of the puppy. The cats are locked in barred cages but you can still stick your finger to pet them and most of them are always active and itching to get some attention. The bunnies/gerbils are in a glass container with an open top so you can still reach in and pet them if you like but most of the time you'll end up scaring them to a point where they will hide from you. The same can be said for the birds but they will resort to biting if you get in their way. The staff are more then willing to help you out if you are considering buying an animal and throughout the years, most of them have remained helpful and friendly along the way even though some were less than satisfactory. On a more positive side, these animals all appear to be well cared for and the staff handles them with proper care and treats them with respect and dignity that should be a standard for all pet stores around the world. I didn't notice any ill or mistreated animals but I may have overlooked tat fact but if this is your concern, it is best to get one on one time with that animal to make sure their ok...and do take them to the vet if you want to buy them. For a pet store in a mall, it's a nice little outlet that shows its love for animals by maintaining a code of ethics and morality towards them. If you are interested in buying one or just want to look, stop on in just to get your "awww" moment! It's certainly a better option then the other store just down the halls.
