Want to experience the worst of what Holiday Inn Express has to offer? Try Downtown Toronto. Rude and incompetent staff (check-in required three seperate employees), ancient facilities (key never worked properly and staff was dismissive when asked for key that works), filthy hallways and rooms (cardboard barely covering holes in the walls, half eaten hamburgers in the stairwells), junkies wandering the lobby asking for change while the front desk staff looked on and did nothing. I travel the world for work and have stayed in hundreds of hotels, and honestly, you win the prize for for being both disgusting and incomparably disappointing, downtown Toronto. Holiday Inn express should be embarrassed to hang their name on the door.
