It's a wonderfully designed and laid out course. The clubhouse is beautiful, grounds very well kept, and a guarantee of 4.5hrs. If they don't keep to the time, they offer a graduated reward system. A very small amount of money compared to the cost of a round. They were over 20 minutes behind and I got a $20 gift certificate towards another round. Again, a small gesture since a round of golf is $200! Yes, quite a bit of cash - is it worth it? If you are going there for the full experience for the whole day and you enjoy playing top courses - Yes. If you are a hacker and like to just get out - No. I'm somewhere in between.
I personally would not play this place unless it was for business...only. The last few rounds I played, it has been a hosted day out or a tournament.
Now, about the play.
Depending on your tee-off preference, you can be anywhere from 10 to 60 yards from forward to tip. I would recommend not playing the tips (copper) unless you are at least a scratch-dude.
The 9th approach and the 10th hole is considered to be their signature holes. The elevation change and challenging course play of #10 is quite attractive.
The greens are generally fast with nicely maintained fairways - no dead pans here.
I would play this track again but not often since I really can't see myself paying $200 each time I step up to spend a frustrating afternoon.
Just a note...I believe that this course will become a 9 hole track soon.
