Do not, under any circumstances go to this hospital. Visit your primary care physician, go to urgent care, or schedule an appointment with a specialist. I would only recommend them if it is a life or death situation (given that HonorHealth is the only hospital group in the valley of Arizona).
I was admitted for bleeding in my stomach - long story short, I was told that a doctor would be available that day for an endoscopy. After 14 HOURS of waiting, I was told to stay overnight so that I could guarantee a spot with the gastroenterologist the following day. When the hospital charged $2,000 for an overnight stay, I questioned their reasoning for the charge given the doctor's unavailability that day. It submitted a formal complaint about the service, was told an investigation would be performed, and my bill be placed ON HOLD until the investigation was complete. The bill went to collections three weeks later. The hospital refused to reclaim the bill from collections until I had a conversation with the CHIEF NURSING OFFICER and provided the written correspondence indicating the bill would be placed on hold. This entire process took nine months. Nine.
