| - My dog, Lolly, a terrier/poodle mix, was afflicted with an autoimmune disease in December and required a blood transfusion. The staff at Blue Pearl was top notch and tended to her every need. She did very well until this week, when her immune system attacked her body again. This time, several blood transfusions would have been required, with no promise of regaining her previous perfect health. Dr. Halterman was very honest in her assessment of Lolly, saying that this could keep recurring and cause my sweet dog more suffering. The very difficult decision was made to euthanize Lolly. Dr. Halterman went the extra mile to assure me that we had made the right decision when they collected blood from the catheter to measure her protein levels. No charge. We felt as if we were the only family there in the clinic, everyone treated us with compassion and care. Lolly's passing was peaceful and swift, thanks to the expertise of Dr. Halterman. I cannot say enough about this hospital. The receptionist immediately remembered my dog by the blanket she was wrapped in. Very personal, compassionate care all around. Thank You, Blue Pearl, for helping us through this very traumatic, emotional event. All of our questions were answered and Lolly was treated with such dignity and respect. Thank you so much, Blue Pearl, for providing such loving and caring service.
