  • I well remember the day in 1998 when this cinema opened almost across the field from my house: at first it was a regular theater (first movie seen here: The Mummy), but quickly turned into a second-run theater for the movies on their way to the rental circuit. It holds a dear place in my heart, being the site of our first date when we watched Shrek in September 2001. The prices have been very good ever since, staying flat at $5 for evenings. The only reason we haven't been here more often is the quality of movies on hand rather than the theaters themselves: clean and well-maintained, good concessions, and when I lived in Bonavista, a three-minute walk away.
