  • Oil & Vinegar is a great place if you enjoy different oils and vinegars and want to zest up your meals! I have been using a lot of avocado/olive oil and balsamic vinegar, so this place made me feel like a kid in a candy shop in terms of the variety they had! Before I get into the flavors, I'll first explain how it works: 1. You buy a bottle 2. You fill it with the oil or vinegar of your choice. Bottles start at 200 ml, so if an oil is $5/100ml, you're paying $10 for the oil as well as the cost of the bottle. I went when the bottles were half priced off, which was a decent discount. I ended up spending about $2.50 per glass bottle with the discount (and they are stackable, so you save room in your kitchen!). They have a refill program for your bottles, which is another nice perk. If you buy a bottle from them, when you are finished with the oil/vinegar and you rinse it out, you get to fill the refill the bottle with only the cost of the product. You never have to buy another bottle- what you invest on, you keep refilling. The only cost after buying a bottle you will worry about is the cost of the product. There was also another deal when we went, which was that you got a free $10 "dipper" when you spent $40. They even let my sister and I combine our orders to get this free product. The dipper is good- it is basically a seasoning you can put on virtually anything! As for my purchase, I bought the lemon oil and the elderberry apple lime vinegar. The lemon oil has a very citrusy taste, but is subtle enough that you could use it with anything! I think it will taste good with poultry and fish, or even vegetables! The elderberry vinegar has a sweet, neutral taste. I am pairing the two for salad dressing. *Note, these tastes are very hard to explain, you just have to go out there and try them! I also tried the tuscan herb olive oil (good, but I didn't personally like the blend of seasoning enough to want to buy it), the black truffle oil (wonderful, unique, flavorful. Just try it! It is my favorite but was a little more pricey), lavender vinegar (Wasn't crazy about this, kind of bland to me), and the balsamic vinegar di modena igp, which was explained to me as being lighter than balsamic vinegar and tasted it! It was great! I tried a few others that I've since forgotten but some that I did not try (but would've liked to!) included the chocolate, cherry almond, pineapple, mango, passion fruit vinegars, and the blood orange riesling, riesling lime grapeseed, and rosemary olive oil. The customer service was absolutely wonderful. I was on the paleo diet at the time, so instead of sampling the oils and vinegars with a piece of bread on a toothpick, the staff gave me my own sample with a mini spoon! The staff were friendly, helpful and inspired the customer to want to buy quality oils/vinegars. I definitely plan on being a regular here, so glad I stumbled upon it!
