We had a great 10 day vacation in Italy, that is until our flight home. We arrived at the airport in Rome at 10am only to be told that our flight had been canceled overnight without any notice to the passengers. That was the beginning of a Kafkaesque ordeal. After waiting in a 280 person line for at least 2 hours, we were told by the less than pleasant and competent Air Canada staff that we would have to come back for a 2am flight. After about an 8 hour stay at the airport Hilton we reported back to the terminal at 11pm and proceeded to wait again in line of about 280 passengers. When we finally got to the front counter, we had to deal with the same 4 employees that "helped" us 10 hours earlier. They acted as if we were putting them out. They even booked my son on different connecting flights than the rest of our family which they would not correct.
We eventually arrived home in LA one day later than planned. I could go on but let me just say this, please avoid flying Air Canada if at all possible.
