| - I have been wanting to try out a B&B Hospitality Group restaurant for quite sometime, since I am a huge fan of Joe Bastianich. I got my chance to eat today at B&B Burger & Beer. Since my friend and I were catching a show at Palazzo, we decided to venture over to the Venetian for a quick bite prior to the show. We arrived sat and ate at the bar.
My friend and I decided to split a burger because we wanted to tryout a couple of appetizers from the menu, without getting too full to genuinely enjoy them. We ordered the following: The Drive-Thru burger, hot wings, and Dirty Chips with bacon n blue cheese. To drink we both had a glass of Flor Prosecco.
The burger was juicy, of decent size and consisted of 2 beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo on a sesame seed bun.
The hot wings were succulent, bold and spicy. Great kick and the perfect amount of heat. Served with a side of creamy, chunky blue cheese dressing for dipping.
The Dirty Chips were crisp, mighty tasty and were topped with bacon bits and pieces of blue cheese chunks. Delish!!
I wanted to try one of Bastianich's wines, but I was not in the mood for a red wine. A chilled white wine was more of what I was craving, since it was a hot summer day. Unfortunately, the female bartender was of no help when I asked for a recommendation, as she kept mentioning red wines, when I was asking for white wines!! It was as if she was not paying attention to what I was asking her. That was very annoying!! I don't think she knew much about wines at all.
We settled for Flor Prosecco, since it is chilled. A different bartender by the name Norberto took over and brought us our drinks. I am glad because he made up for what the female bartender lacked in service, knowledge and friendliness.
I plan on returning to B&B Burger&Beer. I want to try their Lobster roll, onion rings and one of their yummy sounding milkshakes. I also plan on finally trying out a glass of Bastianich wine. Thanks Mario Batali & Joe Bastianich (especially Joe...be still my beating heart) for the great gastronomic experience!! Until next time!
