Thomas Street Tavern on Thomas Avenue, lol. I'm not sure whether to give this place 5 stars or 3, so I guess 4 will work. It has a lot of potential. One of the few places that has had bar games for quite some time. They have a full bar and plenty of good beers. A very nice back deck to boot. Parking is deplorable and I just don't always get along with the crowd, though.
I've walked right through the front patio but have never actually sat there. I should, would be great people watching. Once you walk through that area you enter through the doors and into the main bar area. There is a bar on the right, pool and foosball on the left, and seat yourself dining in the back. They are normally pretty quick with the food service if thats what your looking for. If you walk past all that you get to the ping pong tables, cornhole, and other bar area. That's where you'll normally find me.
The food is pretty good, but its always been a side note for me. A little better than average bar food. The chicken nachos are pretty good. The sandwiches are solid as well. I'm not that big of a fan of the spinach and artichoke dip. It is really rich and the toast points aren't really that great.
All in all, its a great place and I see why people go there. The crowd just isn't always my kind of crowd. But that could just be me.
