| - Where do I start....maybe from the beginning. About three years ago, I knew something was up with my health, because it was very poor. After some research and talking to other members of my family who have had the same issues, I realized I had a thyroid problem. With this problem of course, came an extra 30lbs over a course of a few months. I went to see a doctor here to have them run some tests and get me back on my way to good health. I showed up, filled out the usual forms outlining health problems in my family, etc. as well as an extensive list of current health issues I had been having- ALL of which clearly indicated that it was highly probable that I had developed hypothyroidism. The doctor I saw didn't want to run tests to check my thyroid, but instead wanted to prescribe me DIET PILLS!!!! I, in turn, demanded the lab tests be requested, reiterated that my family had a history of thyroid problems on both sides, and re-listed all of my current health issues aside from weight gain yet AGAIN. Finally, after much deliberation, she agreed to request the lab work. About a week later, I get a call from her. She did apologize and confim that I had a thyroid issue and set me up on meds. I asked her for alternative treatment options to help me feel better faster, and the only good thing that ever came of my visits here was getting referred to a pharmacist out in Mesa who has helped me more than they ever could. But continuing on.....my experience here both with customer service, communication in regards to them communicating with me and/or about me amongst their staff, is absolutely horrid. Point and case- I've now been without thyroid meds for four weeks now. Not due to any negligence on my part- I got my labs done, sent them in, confirmed they have them, and have done exactly what the doctor asked me to do last time I was in. I was told to get my labs done a couple weeks before my meds ran out and have them sent to the office and as long as my results came back in normal range they'd refill my Rx. I did exactly this, six weeks ago, giving them two weeks to receive & review my labs. Now, I'm going on four weeks without meds. I've called twice a week for the past five weeks and for WHATEVER reason, they can't seem to find the time to review my labs, refill my Rx or EVEN CALL ME to communicate with me about what I need to do if there is anything at all!!!! This is infuriating!!! And for anyone who's hypothyroid, you know how bad things can get, and I'm starting down that path again-weight gain, no energy, digestive issues, bad moods, dry skin, the list goes on. I'm currently looking for a new physician, and have considered just going to a new one now, but it's always hard to start over with a doctor, and hell if it takes this long for them to refill a Rx that i clearly need to function properly, how long will it take them to release my medical records to a new doctor????????? I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone unless you simply need to go in and get a prescription for antibiotics for a cold or something. Absolutely horrible. If you're going to expand your offices to serve your patients better like you say you are on your phone system, maybe you should make sure you have enough qualified & knowledgeable staff to be able to do so. Or, better yet, stop taking on patients so you can serve your current ones better. That's another complaint- every time I've been in for a checkup, lab result review, you name it, they don't listen to half of what I say to them, they want me in and out like a drive through. Do you really care about your patients or is this just a setup to pump as much money out of people as possible? DO NOT GO HERE.
