Today was the first time I've been in 2 years, and the first time my boyfriends been. We went with a friend, her parents, her brother and his baby son as well as her 2 year old foster son. It seems that zoo management has really upped their game and made it more interesting with keepers interacting more with animals and interacting with zoo guests, talking about the animals and answering questions, like how one was available to stay and talk to us about their Galapagos tortoise and answer questions for a bit after he brought a tour group in to be up close and personal with it. We have also seen the orangutans being fed corn on the cob and their keepers being available to answer questions as well. Very nice and knowledgeable staff, and I learned a lot. Gotta get their earlier next time cause we only explored half of the zoo before the babies got tired and fell asleep for their afternoon nap as we got there around noonish. To be able to fully explore the zoo, plan on getting there when it opens and staying the whole day, it's that big.
