This is not your traditional Italian American restaurant. You're not going to get an endless bowl of pasta, bread sticks or a basic marinara sauce. What you will get is fresh home made pasta, ethereal sauces, and a waitstaff that knows the menu.
After several visits and a boat load of money (this place ain't cheap), I'm a fan. Today, we were served by Vita. I have rarely met a waitress that was more knowledeagble about the menu or the wine list.
My wife ordered the zuppe de pesce. Let's just say that the bowl was empty and I could'nt get a piece of bread in there. It was off the charts. I ordered the "orange' pasta with shrimp and a light tomato sauce. I couldn't get it into my mouth fast enough. The rest of our group was equally pleased.
So, why not five stars. This is totally stupid but at this price point, little things should be perfect. Bread was good but over cooked. And here is my big (but so little that I'm embarrassed) butter with bread should have been softened to room temperature.
Don't miss this place. Pasta is amazing, service is great. Just serve fresher bread and softer butter.
