It's a nice gym, when it's empty. Let me point out the details that most other reviewers don't mention:
Cons:
- The pool heating sometimes does not work.
- The jacuzzi / whirlpool seems to be broken every week.
- The soap dispensers in the shower also seem to be always broken or empty (if it actually works).
- The change-rooms get really dirty by late-evening time.
- No one cleans anything when they are done using equipment and they smell disgusting. You will probably not find anything to clean the machines with either because the dispensers and paper towels are usually empty.
- The clientèle have absolutely no respect or any manners when it comes to etiquette, space and equipment. They have no sense of cleanliness and act like they are in a third world country shouting and yelling at each other all the time, ESPECIALLY in the change room / showers. I see this issue everywhere from sharing lanes in the pool to sharing equipment and lockers. Nothing is ever cleaned. It is best to go during quiet hours and to just avoid the showers.
- Extremely aggressive sales people and some very arrogant staff who have 0 sense of customer service. Please don't lie to me in the face when you're trying to sell me a membership. Seems like other people here below had similar experiences.
Pros:
- Price, I got a very good rate by signing up for a year in advance. I didn't pay any initiation fees. It now works out to $28 a month taxes in after 1 year in, and was $38 a month the previous year. If you're paying more, you're getting ripped off.
- Lots of machines, there usually is not much of a wait to get on one.
- Squash facilities are almost always free and empty.
- Pool is great when everything works.
