I go back and forth between 1 star and 2 stars simply because the things I liked about this hotel were:
Heated floors in the bathroom
The view from the over packed rooftop lounge
The sweet bartender from the lobby bar
Upon arrival everyone was sweet. I came from TX and was told I could drop my bags off upfront and they would hold it for me until my room was ready at 3. I got back to the hotel at 3:15 and was told my bags were all set and in my room. Mind you I was decorating a room for a surprise bachelorette and needed to get it done quick. I got up to the room and nothing- no suitcase no boxes or decorations. I called a few times and eventually after an hour and 15 min I got some of my belongings.. Not my suitcase.. Which finally came after. Where they were I still have no idea.
Staff- every move we made in that hotel was questioned. "Where r u going? How many rooms do you have? Do you stay here?" At least 3 questions before we hit the elevator.
Being new to the hotel we wanted to see the club downstairs .. We took the elevator to the lower level where there was a bare but cute little sitting area .. We opened a door and it was like we broke into the White House. A man rushed at us screaming like we killed someone. I'm sorry but if you don't want people going through a door- don't make is accessible to guests, lock it, or have a sign? The way too cool for school security guard continued to shove us up some weird staircase (grabbing my friends arm mind you) when all a sudden a fight breaks out and we almost get pushed backward down the stairs. No thanks. I'm over frat parties.
I noticed I was charged for holding the room on my card. Fine - they messed up after being told 3 times that it was all going on a specific card but get your story straight. One lady said the main card wasn't charged at all, the other lady said mine was charged and they reversed the charge when I checked out and blamed my bank. Unprofessional. The 8 of us will not be returning which is sad bc we really were looking forward to our stay and were shocked about the treatment at the hotel.
