The whole experience was not terrible but it could have been better.
I visited this place because it was recommended to us. My partner and I sat at the bar to get a drink while waiting on the other couple we were to meet. The drink menu seemed to be adequate and had a great variety. My eyes were draw to the strawberry basil rum drink because of the type of Rum they offered (Don Q). This type of rum is hard to find in the big cities so I was surprised to found it available in a small town. I asked and the bartender said they definitely did but that they usually didn't use it to make that drink. I was shocked that they sold something completely different from what they show in their menu. I'm glad I made the distinction of asking for the type of rum I wanted. The drink was good but they did add different ingredients that were not listed in the menu.
Our waitress needs more training!!! She was a little too intense. The restaurant got busy and you could tell she was frustrated and overwhelmed. These came across as being too pushy and to some extent annoying as she wanted to remove our dinner plates even before we were done eating and asking if we wanted dessert before 2 our of the 4 members on the table weren't done eating. She completely forgot to ask us for more drinks closer to the end of dinner and to collect the dirty plates as we were done. She brought the check and we never saw her again (with the table still unclean)
Overall, the food was good. I am used to fresher products but it wasn't terrible. I had the rainbow strait with broccoli and side salad with a delicious raspberry vinaigrette. the rest of the group had fish tacos and top sirloin. I wasn't eating the top sirloin but it didn't look the greatest. Both gentleman eating the meat found it flavorful but the presentation was poor!
Recommended place for a quick bite rather than a sit down all night dinner.
