  • I was looking to buy a new Subaru but was given conflicting information and outright lied to. Initially I test drove a 2012 and 2014 Outback and asked for pricing information for both. The manager wrote up an 'out the door' price for the 2014 Outback that was incredibly cheap. Unfortunately I was going out of town and couldn't buy the vehicle that day so I came back about 2 weeks later, and brought in the quote the manager had written up to see if I could purchase the car. 2 other managers wrote different figures for that car almost $3,000 more. They advised me to come back to the dealership the next day to speak to the original manager from 2 weeks ago. I came back the next day and the manager explained he had messed up and actually wrote down the 'out the door' price for the 2012 model but wrote a new price for the 2014 model a few hundred more. He said this price included taxes, title, and fees. I agreed and went to sign the paperwork. I also verbally agreed to pay a certain amount for an extended warranty and gap insurance. When I went to sign the paperwork the warranty/gap price we had just agreed on was only for the warranty and they had added $600 more for gap insurance. Also the 'out the door' price I just agreed on did not include taxes as "those prices never include taxes". I clarified with the manager 3 times prior to going to sign paperwork that it was the price WITH taxes and they said yes. I am extemely frustrated at their treatment of me, and outright lying to me! I would never go back there and would recommend no one else go unless you want to get ripped off.
