  • I have been going to Tenaya Creek for years. I am by no means a "regular" but a couple of the bartenders recognize my face. Brian and Katie are great and a terrific part of team: Tenaya! This post is about the other bartender, Mia, in those years of stopping by when I am on that side of town, I have never seen her smile or more so seemingly doesn't care to be there. That job seems to be a chore. Visiting last night and asking for a beer as if she is put out of her way to serve us. Working in the industry I was hesitant writing this because of the always catching someone on a bad day, but like I said this demeanor has been what I have always observed from her It's not enough for me to not come back, but it is enough for me to take my thirsty self on down the line. I look at bartending as getting paid to host a party. Not serving sour grapes. On a positive finish, Tenaya is still my favorite local beer even with the growing amount of local craft beers coming on the scene. The God of Thunder Baltic porter was amazing and look forward to the Tandem Double IPA in summer time.
