  • It's been over a year since I've had the the opportunity to check out the seafood buffet, so when my sister suggested we go on the Thursday before Easter (since we had Friday off work) it sounded like a perfect time to go again! I remember the line being pretty busy the last time I was there, so we decided to be at the casino at 5 when the buffet opened. After circling around the parking lot for 5 mins, we decided to send in my sister's boyfriend to save us a place in line while we scoured for a place to park. When we finally did and hiked an eternity back to the casino (ok, everything seems like an eternity when you're h-angry!), there was about 20 or so people ahead of us and about the same behind us in line! About 10 mins passed and we were slowly shuffled into the buffet area, passing by a lot of irritated people (They won't seat you/let you in until your entire party is present so keep that in mind!) We paid up ($22.99 + GST), got seated long enough to get our drink orders in and made a beeline to the buffet. It's a pretty decent set up, they've got starters such as salads, pasta, bread, cheese, etc in the center section, an array of delicious looking desserts surrounding the chocolate fountain and the seafood in the back section. Not gonna lie, you have to be a bit aggressive if you wanna get the good seafood because people tend to hover/hog the lobster tails, scallops and crab while it's being replenished. Our first round I grabbed a bit of pasta salad, some salmon lasagna (pretty delish!) and a few measly looking lobster claws (they were already picked over and I just wanted to start eating already!). Our next few rounds were just lobster, the crab was too much work for such small amounts of meat. As we were wandering around deciding what to get for dessert, a fresh tray of scallops passed by so we grabbed a few (I didn't realize they were raw . . . not really a fan) and then dipped some fresh fruit into the chocolate fountain to finish our meal. The chocolate was still creamy tasting even after it harden - that's a rarity! As we headed out, the line to get in was INSANE! It wrapped out to the front entrance of the casino, and it was nearing 7:30 by then. I can't even imagine what time the people at the end of the line would have gotten in! I guess because this place is quite far I don't frequent it as much as I'd like, but I'll definitely be back for another seafood adventure.
