  • Stores have to really stop promoting their extended warranty schemes! This really cheapens the product and leaves the buyer in doubt whether the electronics will work or not. Future Shop has a lot of potential as an electronics store, but they can be ridiculous. For instance, I bought a Sony MP3 player for $79 and they asked me if I wanted an extended warranty for $30. I realized that the warrant was half the price of the actual product. This is just a way for the store to exploit people and take extra money from them.
