| - Juliet (my daughter) broke her foot Saturday, the 17th... at Mountainside Fitness (arrowhead). I must say I am/was truly upset with the outcome of how it was handled.
Juliet some how got her foot caught in their kids spin bike, from what I was told she immediately fell over and started crying... this happened "minutes" before I walked in the care center... when I carried her over and pull d off her sock she already started brushing and swelling on her toe area... I asked again what exactly happened and they didn't have a clear story... the day care attendant then had the audacity to hand me a BLANK incident report and says "can you just sign this and we will FILL IT OUT LATER" I looked at her like she was crazy, and said, "no please fill it out before I sign anything"... then she filled it out, in the most vague way possible... I looked at her and said, "were you there when the incident occurred?" Her- "no"... me- "then why doesn't the person in that section that saw it fill it out?" Her- "BECAUSE HE IS OVER THERE (she points) and had a baby in his hands, so he is BUSY"
With Juliet crying, Charlize crying and the mayham I signed and left.
We went to our friend who is an orthopedic surgeon and he gave her a basic exam and knew already that it was fractured. Sure enough, Monday after x rays it was broken.
I called mountain side, Stephanie the GM literally was more "nervous laughing" and joking than apologetic. She even said "so many kids feet get caught in that bike but no one ever broke their foot" pretty much insinuating maybe Juliet didn't break her foot there....
Well it's been 2 weeks, I have never gotten a call for an apology, we didn't get a any reconciliation.... I am sure if I looked up the age limit to that cycle bike 5 years old should not be on it.... and of "so many kids" have gotten hurt on that bike WHY IS IT STILL ON THE FLOOR?
Now Charlize, this was ruled as a "skin infection". These liaisons are all over her body... thankfully very small on her face. We obviously can not blame Mountian side but the child care and my parents home is all she goes to. And my parents keep their home CLEAN. I can only think the wipe down and cleaning of these gyms are not as great and prestigious as it should be for children.
Seeing my kids in pain and or sick is terrible, not to mention the time off work, sleepless night you have to endure and the sadness of not knowing what or why it happened to them.
We love MountainSide I am just so upset with their procedures and follow up they have in their child care, and a marketing director and business development for a local company of 60 years here in the valley... I would never let this happen.
