  • First time at Krown, and boy I'm glad I chose Krown Scarborough...!!! After shopping and researching online, called and made an appointment for the next day with Ruth (Ed's wife) over the phone. I was running late, so I called to let them know. But no one would answer the phone. I eventually arrived 30mins behind the actual appointment, and Ed (the owner) was seated behind the desk and explained that their phones have been offline since the morning. He said he's wife would be coming in soon and take care of the problem with their provider, Bell. Even though I was late, my car was in within 15mins while I was finishing up with the paperwork and chatting with Ed. Met a couple of customers while waiting who have regulars for 9yrs & 14yrs. Well, seems like I've come to the right place! I went to the nearby Timmies after chatting with Ed, and as I came back in 20mins, Ruth was already there and she was going Chuck Norris with the Bell folks over the phone. She's hard, but she's super nice like Ed once she got off the phone. While I was about to leave, Justin (Ed's older son) came in to pick up stuff and drop off paperwork for their Krown location in Peterborough. Ed was having trouble scanning my coupon, and Justin sorted it out. The coupon entitled me to any 1 can of Krown's products, but Ed, Ruth and Justin insisted I can pick up any 1 stuff from the shop (Tall & Skinny Aerosol Can, or the regular Spray-on Bottles). Met Ed's younger son on the way out as well, whose name I can't recall now. Wow, what a family! My faith in humanity has been restored! Guess what, I forgot the car's ownership at the shop and went back home. Called back the shop, but they were closed by then, and the phones were still probably offline. So I drove up to the shop and arrived there just in time as Ed was opening the shop at 8:45am. Ed remembered that I had forgotten the ownership and that he was trying to call me, but alas, he had the wrong number. When I was telling him my phone number the previous day, he got 1 digit wrong, and he corrected it when I went in the second time. Also Ed noticed that my car wasn't de-greased and cleaned the previous day after the application, and he had his guys take the car in and de-grease & wash the car again, and properly this time. I'm glad I met the Brooker's (Ed, Ruth, Justin, and the son whose name I can't recall)...!!!
