| - It's more like 3.5 stars. If you come on the weekend, there are plenty of techs, however, that doesn't mean techs are sitting around waiting for customers. There are plenty of people coming in so you will have to wait.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the receptionists (in my experience, one girl who has glasses), are/have been very short with people. One time, when I was paying, the girl took my card and then proceeded to hold onto it well after I'd signed the receipt. I stood there and looked her and then she gave it back without any acknowledgment on her part.
Back to the salon, you will come in and sign in on the slips that are on the counter in the front. You'll then be instructed to pick out a color or wait (if you're getting a wax service or something else). There aren't many colors - just two spinning turnstiles that do not have many options. Once you're seated in a chair - whether it's for a pedicure or manicure - you will still wait some more. They get to each person (if you don't have an appointment) on a first come, first serve basis.
I always get a regular color on my hands (I personally do not like gel) and I've never had a problem with the polish chipping. In fact, my polish normally lasts at least a week when I come here. I've had different nail techs each time and I've been pleased with the quality of manicure job done every time so there's something to be said about consistent training.
I would recommend Modish but just pack your patience on a weekend or come during the afternoon early on in the week.
