  • OK, I have written very few critical reviews but I think this one is necessary. I will first state the positives about this place which are many and then one big negative. Some friends and I were here for our annual Spring Training trip. Positives: First of all I would like to thank Gwen and Thomas for promptly responding to our issues of a faulty tv remote and a clogged bathtub drain. Also, you cannot beat the location of this hotel it you want to experience all that Old town has to offer like restaurants, fun bars and Scottsdale Stadium. I am fortunate I found this place at the last second when our AirBnB condo owner cancelled with us 3 days before our trip. I used to talk highly of AirBnB but that was likely a deal breaker. I am a Wyndham Rewards member and did a search and this place was available. It was not comparable to the condo except the location but we managed with and roll away bed. The pool and spa area are clean and nice to hang out after a hot day at the ballpark. Although the spa could be about 3-5 cooler as most had to get in and out of it rather than just stay in it. Ok the one big negative: When the room was serviced throughout the week the carpets were not vacuumed and the tub,toilet and sink area were not cleaned. The carpet is extremely dirty as noted by our black bottom feet. Pretty gross. We did get fresh towels, garbage emptied, and beds made. I suggest putting a few more garbage cans out so the customers can keep up on the garbage if it gets to be too much for the dinky containers they give you. I hope with some investment in carpet cleaning and maybe some checking by management on quality of house keeping this will not be an issue in the future. And to end on a positive note the big orange Adirondack chair is a hoot for sitting on and taking pictures. Thanks.
