| - If you're going to go to one bakery in Montreal, make sure it's this one, and don't you dare leave without a piece of their namesake. As another reviewer said, it's like eating caramelized butter. Easily the best pastry I've ever had.
The butter croissant is also very good. Nice and warm, perfect with some maple butter. I also tried the quiche Lorraine and framboise pastry. They were good, but nothing special. The quiche was just quiche, and I can make better pie crust, and the framboise whatever it was while good, was nowhere near as special. The framboise juice, though, so good!
All of this is neither here nor there. The point is, go, get a kouign amann, and sit there wondering if you should just order a whole one for yourself, bring it home, and sit on the couch for the next 8 hours attempting to eat the whole thing.
