| - Run away from this company!! I got the 9.99$/month phone line because I needed a home phone line for my door buzzer. First, this company doesn't have a legitimate customer service number. I had to search for an hour before I could find one. Then, when I called, it gave me an email address and hung up.
My problems with the company:
1. They never sent me an ACTUAL bill. Not once. I spent an entire year just guessing the amount and paying it through my bank.
2. At the end of the year "the contract peroid" I called them to cancel the account, but they told me it had already been cancelled for non payment. I paid that bill (except the last month), and I was calling them to cancel AND ask what I owed them, because they didn't send a bill....
3. They tried to tell me that IF I WANTED A COPY OF MY BILLS/ACCOUNT, IT WAS A 100$ FEE. It is illegal to charge a fee to see your bill or account history. I told them this over email, so instead of dealing with me, they sent the account to collections.
4. To my calculations, I owed then less than 30$, however they tried to charge me a 200$ cancellation fee, plus 100$ to see the bill because "the account was archived" AFTER 3 DAYS?! the TOTAL owing was more than 360$... which I refused to pay.
5. They told me to send back their equipment, or pay an 80$ fee, and wanted me to pay 30+$ in shipping to the USA. Not happening.
Basically, this company tries to scam you every way it can think of. They sold the "charge" to collections but didn't report it to my credit (because it's FAKE and the credit reporting would have sided with me anyway). Now I get a few calls from a 1-800# every few weeks. If I talk to them and ask them what they think I owe, they just give me a different unrelated monetary amount and tell me to call Primus. This company should be illegal. It's been 3 years, and I'm still getting 1-800# calls telling me to call Primus. So frustrating.
So don't think that saving a few bucks a month is ever worth dealing with these scam artists!!!
