The chocolate babka is the star at Cheskie's. They sell them in two different sizes behind the counter - one's that are an individual servings of about 2"x4" and ones that are large like a bread loaf. What's great about the bread loaf size is that if you do not have to buy the whole loaf, they will cut the amount you would like. Personally, I like them both, but I feel they are both a tad different in terms of texture. They also sell a cinnamon babka loaf that is a bit mild from the chocolate but still tasty, and individual serving of a cream cheese babka. If this is your first time in Montreal, get the babka! The cheese crowns are great too! I enjoy grabbing the small-looking croissants showcased in the window as my "appetizers" to the babka's. If you're lucky, you may get your babka warm as they sell and bake them throughout the day. The staff there are pretty chill and patient and you know this place is legit when you see a bunch of Jewish folks going
