My husband and I had scheduled two months in advance to see a specific eye doctor that he raves to be the best eye doctor in Vegas. I was told two business days before my appointment that it was canceled due to the doctor taking a later lunch. I was so disappointed and very upset. Reason being, 1) my appointment was scheduled two months in advance 2) it's hard for me to find a time to fit my schedule 3) I had to go thru the hassle to request time off work 4) I live on the other far side of town (I had no choice, in order to be seen by this doctor to accommodate his and my schedule, this was the only location I can go to for the soonest appt which again had to be scheduled two months out). Plus on a side note, being PREGNANT does not help with receiving bad news. Honestly, I would have been less upset if the receptionist was more sincere about the canceling. I felt so frustrated because I had to go thru the hassle of scheduling this appointment only to find out it was canceled with no consideration of the prearrangements I made. I told the receptionist to hold off (don't do anything) let me please check with my husband first and call back. However the receptionist say it will be canceled regardless and I will have to call back to reschedule. Omg!!! Really??? My husband called back to the office and it seem like the office staff wasn't aware that my husband I were to come in together during or around the same time. Interesting thing was... his appointment was confirmed however mine was canceled. That doesn't make sense to me. Is it because I would be considered a new patient and the staff probably thought I wouldn't have a preference in provider; that it would be okay to scheduled me to any available provider??? (We scheduled TWO MONTHS IN ADVANCE to see a provider my husband highly recommended!!!) In the end, my husband rescheduled to a later date. He felt bad that they canceled my appointment and kept his. I on the other hand refuse to reschedule, and remain very upset with the way things were handled.
