  • Cheap tools might not do it for me, but they sure do make my husband happy. I found myself standing in an aisle of wrenches pretending to be amazed by the sound of a ratchet wrench and the color-coded socket wrench set. I wandered around and discovered lots of oddities, like a hearing aid, some ceramic kitchen knives and a metal detector. They pretty much have every tool or doodad you could use for a home improvement or car-related project minus the parts. The attraction is cheap prizes and lifetime warranties. We left with some vacuum device for calibrating a carburetor. The deal was he could have his vacuum if I could get a pair of hot rollers. Still waiting on the hot rollers...that was one thing Harbor Freight did not have.
