One year later. Same convention, same hotel. The renovation is complete but I don't see a difference. We had a nice corner room over looking the Bellagio Fountains and the Eiffel Tower. Pretty cool until the party started.
There is a rooftop nightclub under the Eiffel Tower, where it is built out of the roof. The music was so loud that things in our room were vibrating. We were on the 11th floor but the noise was incredible. No way to sleep.
I called the desk at 2:30am. The woman who answered was very nice until I complained about the noise. Then she stated.."Well, it's a nightclub!!" Okay, and I am not trying to sleep in the nightclub, I am trying to sleep in my room.
She said it would be going until 4:00am. They must have received many complaints because they toned down the music about 30 minutes later.
Two nights at this place and two nights without sleep. The room was hot, the bed is so so, just like last time and the pillows are horrible and the noise.
Las Vegas is a noisy town, however, every other hotel I have ever stayed in knows how to make the room dark and quiet.
As was last year, the convention host paid for the room. Next year I think I will pay for my own room in an MGM property. MGM Resorts knows how to do it.
