| - LaserShip lost two lost Amazon packages in less than a month, both with false "delivered" tracking updates.
I am beyond frustrated. The package that they insisted was delivered on November 14th finally showed up on December 9th, alongside the one LaserShip package that has actually arrived as-scheduled in the past month.
Today, a second package (much more expensive) package failed to be delivered. Concerned after my previous encounter with LaserShip, I physically stood at the door and watched/waited from 8:00-9:00PM. The delivery deadline was 9 PM. After 9PM had came & went, I again tracked my package, only to find that it was "delivered" at 8:30 PM, and signed for by "delivered."
I called the LaserShip customer support number, and was FINALLY connected with a representative after holding for roughly 20 minutes. I gave her the tracking number, told her what happened (including the prior incident) and she placed me back on hold while so she could "call the branch office." After holding for another couple minutes, I was disconnected. When I tried to call back, I got a message that their office hours were.....and that they were currently closed.
Amazon chat support has me speaking with someone whose limited command of the English language inspires little confidence. Actual quote: "I really understand how and what you feel. I will feel the same way if I'm in your shoe. You're important to us. We value you and our customer so much. Again, I'm really very sorry for the inconvenience."
***UPDATE***
Upon looking into it a little further, apparently LaserShip drivers are not actual employees, but 1099 Independent Contractors. I'd imagine there are provisions in their contracts regarding late deliveries, which they are circumventing by falsifying the tracking information.
