  • This car wash left deep scratches down the left side of the hood and the top of my car, as well as across my windshield. After months of investigation, apparently someone with a fishing rod in the bed of his truck entered the car wash prior to myself, and something got caught to one of the brushes in the car wash. After months and months of State Farm trying to collect the almost $3k in damages done to my car. I get a letter saying that it won't be paid, since Chevron's insurance company deems that it wasn't negligence on their part. I totally get that. It wasn't their fault. But it wasn't mine, either. The thing that is extremely frustrating to me, is that this happened to more than just my car. It happened to a number of individuals. And no one is getting reimbursed for anything, just screwed to pay the damages themselves. When I saw the damages, I called and spoke to what I assume was an associate. I asked how I would go about getting my car taken care of for the damages caused by going through their car wash. I was informed that would be handled through my insurance company. Indirectly said that if I were to handle it through the insurance company, it would be taken care of. So if someone left water on the floor in your store, and I tripped and broke my neck, would they not take any part and dispute paying out for that, too?? Had I known that their was something that was going to do that amount of damage to my car, I wouldn't have used the car wash. I've been very specific is where I take my car, because I take very good care of my vehicles. I've been taking my cars to THIS car wash for years. So I never expected this to happen or for it to be handled the way it was. I've spoken to the owner and manager in the store, both of which were polite about everything, as well as my own insurance company. But it really speaks, lack of customer service, when I call to talk to the owner only to be told he can't do anything if the insurance company won't pay. In my opinion, it's more of a "won't" do anything. I'm sorry to say, that because I got screwed for something that WASN'T my fault, I will not be returning to this store.
