I am getting married in literally 2 months, I have family in Cinisi, Sicily that I am invited. There were a total of five envelopes going to the same city in Sicily. Most on the same street even! Yet just ONE was returned to me with a huge circled "Italy" written on the envelope. I have written the addresses for my family like this my entire life of 28 years, as has my family for the last 60 years!
Obviously they knew where Sicily was having written it on the envelope before they returned it to me ripped apart. Not to mention it's only the biggest damn island in the Mediterranean! So let's recap, they mailed four of them without issues, and decided to send just ONE back with a huge rip and the location written on it. So they have ruined an invitation, envelope and THREE stamps! This is asinine and absurd! Instead of wasting a "return to sender" label and the postal carriers time in having to return it, wouldn't have been more prudent to just send the damn thing?
I am livid. Oh! And they have the monopoly on mail in this country. I am so disappointed and angry. Thanks for making my wedding just that much more stressful. If I become bridezilla now, blame the USPS.
