| - My Dentist died years ago, and after going to the Dentist that bought his practice 3 times I was completely done with him. So I went to Open Wide. I had a very pleasant experience and everyone there is very nice. I was happy, but as usual after seeing you they show you all the things you should have done with a price list of each thing. However I was used to that from my last Dentist, and Open Wide at least did something, and figured I would take one thing at a time as I could afford it.
However I had a big filling drop out of my wisdom tooth and had to be seen, and they got me in the same day, however Dr. Durisek was not available and I saw another Dentist, After X-rays and an exam I was told that the wisdom tooth could not be saved, and I would have to go to an oral surgeon. I paid a $100.00 for the visit, and left with who they suggested I should see. The tooth didn't hurt and I put it off for over a year. Money, Money, Money. Like I said the tooth didn't hurt at all, but because of the hole my tongue kept going to it and it got cut over and over.
Forward over a year, and a friend recommended a dentist, and I said enough is enough and I made an appointment. After my exam the Dentist said that the wisdom tooth didn't need to come out and he could fix it if I wanted to keep it. I said yes and it was fixed fast for $231.00. I couldn't believe I went over a year cutting my tongue on a tooth they said could not be saved, and paid a $100.00 for that.
I liked the office and the staff and Dr. Durisek, however looking back at everything they said I needed done, I have to wonder if there heart was for the patient or their wallet. I'm not here to promote my new Dentist. I'm here to say that expect a dental plan that could be very costly, and expect to be referred to other specialists. Have very good insurance because you just might need it.
