  • If I could give this place negative stars I would! We came here to have a picnic lunch after my nephew's baptism. My brother in law came down 2-3 weeks ago and spoke to security regarding having the picnic. He was told as long as there wasn't any alcohol we would be ok. As we're setting up the good a security guard (named Aviomme) came over and informed us we had to leave as we couldn't have our picnic because 'it was against the rules'. The guy was very smug and rude to us. After explaining the situation, it took us 20 min to get him to call the manager about the situation. The manager then told us even different information than the original security guard, and Aviomme. This is an awesome example of the downtown project NOT having its act together! There aren't any vendors open yet in the park (11am opens) so there is no competition in any way for our 'business'. We only wanted to have a light lunch and let the kids play in the park. I can honestly say I will be avoiding this place from now on and will never recommend to anyone again!!! We live downtown and have always enjoyed the new things opening but this was just ridiculous! There are much better places in town, with nicer and more informed staff and genuine rules and guidelines posted...
