| - Best buffet I've been to in Vegas! (Or anywhere for that matter). I'm not much for buffets in general, but we always do one in Vegas because it's traditional. We had plans to do another buffet, but the Cosmopolitan sponsored our United Airlines flight from SFO and gave all passengers 2 for 1 coupons for this one (you have to register at the Identity desk to get the voucher). We are so glad we ate here. The food is wonderful, the selection is great and the service was very good.
On the weekday brunch ($29 w tax, or a very reasonable $14.50 each w the coupon), they have breakfast foods, lunch food (including a carving station, sushi and lots of entrees) and a fabulous dessert spread with amazing chocolate covered strawberries, gelato and MOLTEN LAVA CAKES. Were they the best ones I've had? No but they were decent and had a molten center, which is pretty damn impressive for a buffet. My biggest gripe about buffets is that they prioritize quantity over quality and the food is usually lukewarm and congealed. The awesome thing about Wicked Spoon is that many foods are served in individual ramekins, and not big bins, which keeps them fresher and more like non-buffet foods. Even the bins (e.g. Scrambled eggs) taste much better than you typically find at a buffet. Nothing we tried was bad and much of it was really excellent. I think the Wicked Spoon is definitely far superior to the very overhyped Bellagio buffet.
There was no line at 10:30 on a Friday morning but by 11:30 there was a sizeable line.
