  • I enquired to become a foster parent here because my partner has alergies to adult, self cleaning cats but not kittens. I called at least 4 times never got a response. I learned later that this place is a no kill shelter only because they turn away animals they don't want. They reject animals that would be a bother to train in order for them to be adoptable. Animal Rescue League on the other hand is an open door shelter. That means they will take in any animal that comes in the door. The way they do that is through foster families. I am a foster parent with the ARL now. I foster kittens and sick cats continuously. There is no other more rewarding and fun thing I could do with my free time.
