I went in for my first facial today and loved it. I'd been waffling for some time because of the cost but it's worth it! (More on that later.)
What to expect: If you get there early you will be seated in the spa waiting room, which is lovely and dim, so you can start relaxing while sipping on coffee/tea/water. When you get to your treatment room the aesthetician will discuss what your concerns are and what treatments may be suitable. She will leave and you can undress (everything from the waist up, bottom half is up to you), put on a top wrap and get under the sheet on the table. Steaming, facial treatments, chest/shoulder/hand/arm/scalp massage will ensue. After you will be left to get dressed and your aesthetician will meet you in the hall with water and any samples relevant to your treatment (plus chocolate!).
Sam was lovely and I would hands-down go back to her for more treatments (I've already seen her a couple of times for waxing). She was very attentive to my comfort and needs and was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the products being used.
Regarding cost, RZ includes any tip right in their service fee (which is one of the huge reasons I started going to them - nothing is more uncomfortable than trying to figure out how much to tip!). The Essential Facial I got was $88; say $11 of that was tip (15% on $77), then you're paying $1/minute for the time (1 hour = $60). The rest ($17) would cover the cost of laundry, beverages, and products used (all organic). I'm sure most people don't need to breakdown their costs but it helps me feel good about the indulgence!
Yet another service from RZ that I would highly recommend!
