I grew up in England and felt a twinge of nostalgia when I saw this restaurant.
Accepting that there would be a Caesar's Palace surcharge on top of already over-priced Vegas food, I assumed that Mr. "f***ing make this dish right" Ramsay could provide a decent simulacram of English food.
However, the food was about as English as Excalibur hotel.
If you've actually tasted any English food, please don't go. I miss very little about England, but genuinely good fish & chips + mushy peas is one my favorite things from my childhood.
If you've never tasted mushy peas, this review probably doesn't make sense, but if you have enjoyed them . . . start planning on that trip to England rather than Vegas, because Ramsay's dish was not even made with the correct peas.
[insert other details about how this place offers weak adaptations of British dishes]
I emailed customer relations, because I am genuinely interested in how Mr. Ramsay could sign his name to those peas: I will update if I hear any sort of authentic response.
PS Service was good: helpful and friendly servers + food seemed made to order, so the individual workers seemed to be doing their best. My criticism solely applies to whomever approved the dishes.
